Truth Seeker Bob Morey

Truth Seeker Bob Morey

Discredited former radio personality Robert Morey, who was kicked out of the ministry by his Reformed denomination, caught in academic fraud with a bogus doctorate which the issuing seminary said was invalid, and after having his radio program canceled, lost propriety of his church building and has announced his early retirement from his “Faith Defenders” church in California. He is reported to be leaving the state amidst a series of complaints against him to police and law enforcement agencies calling for investigation into his dealings. Morey has been accosted for everything from alleged slander to widespread financial impropriety, often by former church members and colleagues, other preachers, and by members of the Christian business community with whom he had been financially associated. He was also dropped from the Christian Conference circuit where he had in times past once been an invited speaker.

By some reports Morey is attributing his retirement to reasons of health due to the problematic aftermath of his anti-obesity surgery. Other sources are suggesting it is to help avoid possible prosecution and litigation. We offer no explanation, but we simply thank God that he is finally gone from the radar screen. May it be final. This is indeed a victory for the Body of Christ.

Below is an email sent to church members.

Dear Church Family,

The last service of Faith Community Church will be held at 1:00PM on March 1st where Dr. Morey will officially retire from pastoring. Pastors, members and friends of the church who have been blessed by Dr. Bob’s radio program, books, tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, sermons and counseling are welcome to this celebration service. Join us in the Agape Feast to follow afterward at 3:00PM. We will have a book table of Dr. Bob’s resources available for purchase at 50% discount and can be autographed. A special “retirement love offering” will be taken. “The laborer is worthy of his wages” 1 Timothy 5:18b

The only thing clear from this announcement is that “Faith Community Church of Orange County, Inc.” will close its doors on March 1st, 2009. The statements on “Biblical Thought” that this church would continue to operate after Robert Morey’s retirement appears to have been not true. I recall claims like this church since it is part of God’s Kingdom would not close its doors. I am trying to recall the angry email from Stephen Macasil concerning my blog posting that predicted that this church would soon be gone. I believe he stated something like you cannot predict the future. It didn’t take any crystal ball to know that this church was past the point of being saved from closure except by a miracle.   I didn’t believe God would save this church by some miracle.

Nothing is stated about any of the other parts of the Robert Morey Empire. Online donations to California Biblical University and Seminary has been broken linked since the sale and closure of 17601 Fitch Avenue, Irvine, CA. This university of Robert Morey no longer has a building and its website is starting to have as much of an abandoned look as the Spirit Life Bible College website. Ironic since both were located in 17601 Fitch Avenue, Irvine, CA. I predicted this university of Robert Morey was technically gone and Stephen Macasil’s angry email called me a liar on that matter too. For a university that is claimed to be alive and well; it looks as much closed as Faith Community Church of Orange County, Inc. will be after March 1st 2009.

All that “Faith Defenders Church, Inc.” has is the general partnership of “Faith Defenders Ministries, LP” which was nothing more than a land management company for 17601 Fitch Avenue, Irvine, CA which is sold and the FBN of “California Biblical University and Seminary” which has never made any money. A California corporation with no known income sources. This part of Robert Morey’s California empire appears to be as much gone as “Faith Community Church of Orange County, Inc.” will be after March 1st 2009.

This leaves the Pennsylvania corporation of “Research and Education Foundation” which has the FBN of “Faith Defenders”. Therefore this may soon be all that is left of the Robert Morey empire after March 1st 2009 which consists of a website called “Faith Defenders” and a blog called “Biblical Thought”.

The Nevada corporations of “Trinity Media” and “Christian Scholar’s Press” were closed last year.

Is Robert Morey leaving California? The fact that he switched the FBN of “Faith Defenders” from “Faith Defenders Church, Inc.” during 2008 to “Research and Education Foundation” may be evidence that he desired to get the FBN that made him the most money transfered to a corporation outside of California. It is possible that he has been planning on leaving California for awhile.

Robert Morey desired and got a partial retirement from “Faith Community Church of Orange County, Inc.” in the form of a reduced preaching schedule which required guest speakers for the Sundays that he would not preach.  Now it appears he has decided to retire completely.   This reduced preaching schedule started around the time that 17601 Fitch Avenue, Irvine, CA was sold.

Hello Brothers in the Lord, Friends & Neighbors,

Brother Tom Maxham just sent this to me today & I couldn’t wait to share it. Naturally I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of what I said in that last blog article posted on Joey’s “The Saint Augustinian” in January 2009 entitled, “Criminal Fraud & Slander Routinely Practiced by “dr” Robert Morey of “Faith Defenders” as seen below:

Since “Truth Seeker Bob” (dr) Morey is exactly what a multitude of Christian witnesses have been saying about him, namely an immoral, lying crook masquerading as a high and mighty Christian “scholar” who has “read every book in the Library of Congress” I would not be surprised if old “TS Bob” were to suddenly “take a hike.” Just as when criminal investigators from the IRS told me years ago that they felt Morey needed to be investigated and within weeks he suddenly left Pennsylvania and took off for California, I would not be surprised if Morey suddenly were to “skip town” and “get out of Dodge.” It’s getting mighty “hot in the kitchen” there in California, particularly with the Orange County District Attorney watching him along with all these other organizations. A con man always knows when he has worn out his welcome and it’s time to leave. Just as with all con men, he needs to go where no one really knows him well so he can start his scam game all over again. But as the old saying goes, “You can run but you can’t hide.”

Well it seems that our mighty “Faith Defender” has decided to leave his church by “retiring.” But where is he “retiring” to? Rumors from his own family members are saying “Tennessee” yet others are saying “New York” (has he decided to return to Greenwich Village where he originally came from?). Others who have been keeping up with all the documentation & evidence amassed in this investigation of Morey’s activities speculate Mexico or perhaps the Bahamas. If law enforcement agencies were to actually do anything of substance perhaps Morey would “retire” to a different location other than those mentioned above.

Whatever the case, Morey suddenly wants to “retire” and leave the scene with fanfare, meaning “let’s have a party selling books & CDs & collecting all the ‘LOVE’ offerings “dr” Bob can get his greedy hands on.” I call Morey’s “retirement celebration” a “GOOD RIDDANCE & DON’T COME BACK JUBILATION” for all the Lord’s people who have been severely injured by this religious huckster masquerading as a Christian scholar and Man of God. Unfortunately, wherever Morey ends up once he leaves California he will target a new group of unsuspecting Christian sheep to devour.

Please pray for brother Joey Enriquez at this time as he is currently in the hospital suffering from lung problems.

May the Lord
bless you & beware because many false prophets are gone out into the world (1 John 4:1),
