Because it is therapeutic! Mocking is a very powerful way to convince those who are unwilling to think to do it. Shame is a great motivator.
Dr. Robert Morey suffers from malignant narcissistic personality disorder. His followers, to the degree that they emulate him, think like him and try to behave like him, have entered into his narcissistic bubble universe and have become narcissists by extension. This happens to all cultists. In all cults, the insanity of the guru reflects on the followers who surrender their intelligence to him and follow him unquestioningly and brainlessly.
The narcissists feel grandiose and self-important. They want to be acknowledged without commensurate merit. They want recognition and preferential treatment. They expect respect without feeling any obligation to reciprocate. They get their sense of self- importance by putting you down, criticizing you, decrying your world and disparaging your values, but you are not allowed to slight them. It is okay for them to violate your rights, abuse you and even kill you, but you are not supposed to mistreat them in the slightest way. In fact, they demand privileges that are not available to others. What they want is your submission. That is what Morey-ism is all about – submission.
Never comply
The narcissists are bullies. They should not get what they want or they become emboldened and demand more. They will never be satisfied. The more you give in, the more demanding they become. They can never have enough narcissistic supplies. It is a mistake to give in to their caprices and comply with their demands.
The narcissist takes himself too seriously. He lacks self-esteem and what he dreads most is humiliation. For him, image is everything. He attacks you, verbally, physically, or both. He highlights your faults and belittles you. By doing so he feels better about his own failures. He hides behind a false image of self righteousness. That image must be destroyed and the way to do that is through ridicule.
Charlie Chaplin knew the great power of ridicule. A strong opponent of racism, in 1937 Chaplin decided to make a film on the dangers of fascism. As Chaplin pointed out in his autobiography, attempts were made to stop the film being made: “Half-way through making The Great Dictator I began receiving alarming messages from United Artists. They had been advised by the Hays Office that I would run into censorship trouble. Also the English office was very concerned about an anti-Hitler picture and doubted whether it could be shown in Britain . But I was determined to go ahead, for Hitler must be laughed at.” (Charles Chaplin, My Autobiography- 1964)
Just like in the thirties, today there are many useful idiots who defend Dr. Robert Morey, apply censorship and try to silence his critics. These fools must be put to shame too.
Do not underestimate the power of ridicule. This is not a laughing matter. Mock Dr. Robert Morey and Faith Defenders as this will eventually help the Morey-ites get rid of their cult. They must feel embarrassed for calling themselves students of Dr. Robert Morey.
This therapy works. I have seen it work many times. Intelligent people, who at first defend Dr. Robert Morey, feel embarrassed to admit they once considered him to be a Christian scholar, once they see the stupidity of this cult, and claim they are not students of Dr. Robert Morey. They try to dissociate themselves from him. At first this distancing may not be heartfelt, but the very fact that they prefer to hide their real sentiment about Dr. Robert Morey because they are embarrassed of it is the first step -a very important one – for them to leave Faith Defenders in reality. It is just a matter of time that they cut their umbilical cords from it and get rid of this cult completely.
Today students of Dr. Robert Morey become angry if you ridicule their faith, but once they are free from this bondage of the mind they will thank you for it.
Ridicule Dr. Robert Morey and ridicule those who defend him. Put to shame the appeasers and the useful idiots even if their name is Stephen Macasil or Stupid Sheep. Expose the stupidity of Dr. Robert Morey and laugh at its ignorant supporters.
Dr. Robert Morey will become history once the asininity of him becomes so obvious that any person with intelligence feels embarrassed associating himself with Dr. Robert Morey or defending him.
In not a very distant future, calling a person “Morey-ite” will be seen as an insult and one could be seriously offended if he is called that, just as today one is offended if he is called a “Nazi”.
I found this letter from Faith Defenders Church Inc. on the Internet during a Google search. I have no idea why it was posted on the internet as there appeared to be no explanation connected to it.
There is much better reviews of this movie on the internet even by secular movie reviewers. It is an entertaining review of this movie but has little content. I do not trust Robert Morey to be accurate on anything anymore so I would have to watch the movie to know if what he says about the movie is true or not. This movie had a very short run in Claremont CA and I will watch the movie on DVD to see if Robert Morey is truthful on the movie or if he is making it all up. When it comes to Robert Morey, you have to check out all of his truth claims because he has too often been untruthful on matters.
For documentation on examples where Robert Morey has been untruthful go here.

I have noted that Internet discussions on a blog concerning Islam that references anything that Robert Morey has written on Islam are rather quickly addressed by referencing this website.
The Islam defender simply states that Robert Morey has been proven to be inaccurate on Islam and other matters therefore how can you believe that what he says is true. You need to use a more reliable source for your information on Islam to be taken seriously.
Empty Faith Defender Building in Irvine, CA Waiting to be Developed into a Four Story Marriott Hotel
I got a email from Stephen Macasil concerning one of the blog posting. I have made this posting “Private” as I revise it and include supporting documentation for any statements made in it. It will be made public again after I am sure that there is nothing in the posting that anyone can deny is true.
I have a few comment on what Stephen Macasil stated in his email at this time. However, I do not desire to get into it any great detail.
I do desire that everything I post be fair and balanced plus correct. If anyone is aware of any mistakes; let me know.
Macasil’s complaints appeared to be on minor issues and some appeared to be silly.
He complained about the use of the word “Abandoned” to describe the state of the Faith Defenders building since it had been sold.
a⋅ban⋅doned
–adjective
1. forsaken or deserted: an abandoned building; an abandoned kitten.
2. unrestrained or uncontrolled; uninhibited: She danced with abandoned enthusiasm.
3. utterly lacking in moral restraints; shameless; wicked: an abandoned and dissolute ruler.
Would he have liked the word “deserted”? An abandoned building can be in that state because of a foreclosure, sale that results in it being scheduled for destruction to make way for a new building or other development, or someone has yet to move into the building after purchasing it from another.
Anyway, I will change the wording on minor things so it is less offense to him. On issues he protests which there appears to be documentation to support; I will reference the evidence.
The Faith Defender building in Irvine, CA use to be Embassy Christian Center, the world headquarters of Roberts Liardon Ministries Incorporated. It even contained Spirit Life Bible College.
Then it was purchased by Faith Defenders Ministries, LP. [The it references the Embassy Christian Center building, this is added in response to Stephen Masasil's email where he appears to think that I was stating that Robert Morey became the pastor over Embassy Christian Center or something. It may help if Stephen Macasil didn't write emails late at night when he may be tired and not thinking clearly?]
Thus the reason I am interested in Roberts Liardon.

CHARISMA NEWS SERVICE Mon, Mar 11, 2002 Vol. 4 No. 7 NEWS BRIEFS: EMBATTLED ROBERTS LIARDON PREACHES AGAIN Pastor and writer Roberts Liardon preached yesterday at his church for the first time since he stepped down three months ago after admitting to a “moral failure.” The founder of Embassy Christian Center in Irvine, Calif., gave a 30-minute message on keeping the faith. In December, Liardon confessed to a short-term homosexual relationship with the church’s youth pastor, John Carrette. “Those around me asked me to come,” Liardon said yesterday. He received a 30-second standing ovation from about 650 people. Liardon, 36, told the Embassy congregation that his appearance was “just for one Sunday. I am still working with my counseling.” While not addressing any specific situation, Liardon said: “[We have] gone through some great dramatics in the last few months…Our church has gone through a crisis…but it is [going to be] OK. God is in charge…He does not come to destroy. He comes to lift you.” Liardon later told “Charisma” that his counselors, particularly El Paso, Texas, pastor Charles Nieman, had encouraged him to preach, and it fit the schedule to do so at this time. Liardon made the announcements and took an offering at previous services, but yesterday’s was his first sermon. About one-quarter of Embassy members, as well as Bible college students and missionaries, have left the church since Liardon’s admission.

I know nothing about John Carrette, Jr. other than his father is famous in Christian circles. I have not been able to find a photo of him or any statement he made concerning this matter. He simply left the USA and appears to have disappeared as far as any Internet search. The following came from a Christian news posting on the Internet so it is not like I have added anything to the Internet that doesn’t already exist. This news story helps in understanding the controversy that resulted in Embassy Christian Center getting into financial problems therefore a troubled real estate property that Faith Defenders Ministries LP could purchase as a white knight takeover.
________________________ An internationally-known healing evangelist, named for Oral Roberts, has confessed to a gay relationship of several months with his church’s youth minister. The never-married Roberts Liardon, 34, is on “at least three months” leave of absence from Roberts Liardon Ministries (including the huge Embassy Christian Center and Spirit Life Bible College) in Irvine, California. The purpose of his period away, according to his public relations spokesperson, is to allow him to spend “an enormous amount of time in prayer, studying the Bible and [getting] counseling” from two other Pentecostal evangelists, one from Texas and another who will be traveling between New Zealand and the U.S. to encourage Liardon.According to the charismatic magazine, Charisma, the Auckland counselor reports that “Liardon is responding well to the process of restoration,” assuring supporters: “He is making good, positive steps.”The Los Angeles Times quoted a church lay leader’s saying that, before Liardon left, the congregation gave him “a standing ovation – not for what happened, but because he’s making it right.” Meanwhile, the youth minister, John Carrette, Jr. (son of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International’s executive vice-president) has resigned from Embassy and gone to Guatemala where, Charisma reports, he “could not be reached for comment.”Some Embassy church members, missionaries, and Bible college students have left in anger – the latter threatening to sue for unused tuition payments. Some of Liardon’s critics are vicious in their attacks in print and on the Web – spelling his last name with four capital letters: “LIARdon.”

Roberts Liardon
Pastor and author Roberts Liardon is stepping down from ministry after admitting to a moral failure. He is taking a three-month leave of absence to seek “professional and church counseling related to a recent short-term homosexual relationship,” according to a statement issued Dec. 20 on behalf of his Embassy Christian Center in Irvine, Calif.Liardon, 34, announced his decision this week citing “several situations, both personal and health-related,” the statement said. He had been advised by doctors to take time off to deal with an ongoing heart condition and further recuperate from recent surgery, it added.
“As a minister of the gospel, I realize my moral failure has been inappropriate and wrong,” Liardon said. “I have asked God’s forgiveness and for the past month have sought professional counseling and other help. I ask anyone affected by my actions to forgive me and to pray for both my spiritual and physical recovery.”
The statement said that Liardon, along with those who are offering him “accountability, counseling and authority,” will re-evaluate his situation after three months and “determine the appropriate time for his return.”
Liardon is the author of God’s Generals, a history of Pentecostal pioneers. He founded Spirit Life Bible College, and his Roberts Liardon Ministries has offices in England, South Africa and the Philippines. –Andy Butcher
